Agniveer coaching for soldier, sailor and airman entries
Not every young person who wants to serve needs to wait for graduation. The Agnipath recruitment scheme opens the Army, the Navy and the Air Force to candidates after Class 10 or Class 12, and the Indian Coast Guard recruits sailors and technical staff through its own enrolled-personnel selection. These entries share a pattern: an online or written test, a physical fitness test, a medical examination and a merit list. They also share a challenge, which is that thousands of applicants write the same test for a limited number of vacancies.
Our Agniveer coaching in Dehradun prepares students for that combination. The classroom side builds the subjects that the written tests draw on, while physical training builds the running, strength and endurance that the physical test demands. Classes are in person at Street 1, Subharti Road, Nanda Ki Chowki, Lower Kolhupani, Dehradun. We do not run online classes. The page covers four services in one place because many students apply to more than one, and the preparation overlaps.
This course suits:
- Class 10 pass students aiming for general duty, tradesman or domestic entries
- Class 12 students with Physics and Mathematics who want technical or sailor entries in the Navy or the Coast Guard
- candidates who have appeared once and want a better-planned second attempt
- families from outside Dehradun who need a hostel place for the student
Students who aspire to become officers rather than soldiers or sailors should look at our NDA coaching, CDS coaching or AFCAT coaching pages. Candidates who prefer a civilian career at sea might read the Merchant Navy page.
Eligibility: what the official portals state
Age limits, qualifications and physical standards are set in each recruitment notice and have changed in recent years, so no coaching page should be your last word. Below are the conditions we could confirm from the official portals at the time of writing. Treat them as pointers and read the current notice before you apply.
| Entry | Age | Education |
|---|---|---|
| Navy Agniveer (SSR) | 17½ to 22 years on the day of enrolment | Class 12 with Mathematics and Physics from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate, or a three-year engineering diploma or a two-year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics, each with 50% aggregate. Class 12 candidates awaiting results may apply, but must produce the original marksheet at the second stage |
| Coast Guard Navik (General Duty) | 18 to 22 years | Class 12 from a recognised board with Mathematics and Physics |
| Coast Guard Navik (Domestic Branch) | 18 to 22 years | Class 10 from a recognised board |
| Coast Guard Yantrik | 18 to 22 years | Class 10 plus an approved diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics or Telecommunication engineering, as stated on the portal |
| Army Agniveer | Set in the Army’s recruitment notice | The Army held its online Common Entrance Examination for several Agniveer categories in June 2026; read the notice for age and qualification |
| Air Force Agniveervayu | Set in the Air Force’s recruitment notice | Published on the Air Force’s recruitment portal |
The Coast Guard’s portal also mentions reservation-related age relaxations for some categories and states that there is no age relaxation for graduates or postgraduates. Height, chest and weight standards, nationality and marital-status rules differ by service and appear in each notice. We go through these with every family at the start, because a student who is a few centimetres short of the standard should know that before spending a year on preparation.

Selection stages and how we prepare for each
The details differ by service, but the sequence is similar.
| Stage | What it involves | How we prepare |
|---|---|---|
| Online or written test | A multiple-choice test; the Navy’s Agniveer (SSR) syllabus lists a first-stage online examination and a second-stage written examination | Subject classes, timed practice papers and OMR or screen-style mock tests |
| Physical fitness test | Running, strength and endurance tasks | Physical training with a progressive plan and timed practice |
| Medical examination | Fitness check against the service’s standards | Early guidance on eyesight, height, weight and common disqualifiers |
| Merit list | Candidates who clear every stage are ranked against the vacancies | Honest feedback about where each student stands |
The Navy’s Agniveer (SSR) page links separate syllabi for the two written stages, and the Army’s online test covered several categories in a single June 2026 schedule. Rather than quote a marks table that may be out of date, we align our mock tests with the syllabus on the official portal for the entry you choose. Syllabus topics typically include English, mathematics, science and general knowledge, along with reasoning, and we cover all of these in class.

How the Agniveer batch is organised
The programme is organised so that study and training reinforce each other.
- Mathematics: arithmetic, algebra, geometry and mensuration, with speed practice for the written test
- English: grammar, vocabulary and comprehension
- Science: physics, chemistry and everyday science at the Class 10–12 level, depending on the entry
- General knowledge and awareness: India, defence news and current affairs
- Reasoning: series, analogies, coding-decoding and pattern questions
- Physical training: running, strength and flexibility work, with timed practice for the fitness test
- Mock tests: regular papers in the exam format, with a review of every wrong answer
Students who want to apply to more than one service can plan the mock series together. Batch timings are confirmed at counselling. A short crash course is also available for students who are close to a test date.
Fees for Agniveer coaching
The fee table for this course is shown further down the page, with the batch durations on offer and the one-month crash option. For registration, hostel charges and other details, see the fee structure page. We are happy to explain the options on a call, and to help you pick a duration that matches your test date.
Hostel and mess
Students from other districts and states can live in the academy’s hostel during the batch. The academy has separate hostels for boys and girls and a mess, and day scholars from Dehradun are welcome. A steady routine of study, training and rest helps most candidates more than they expect. See the hostel and mess page for details, and the contact page for directions to the academy.
