Reveille & PT
An illustrative day — timings and activities vary by batch and season. The morning begins with physical training, such as running, drill and strength work, so that fitness is built over months and not crammed before the SSB.
Maths & GAT
Concept classes followed by timed problem sets, with mistakes tracked so that they are not repeated in the exam hall.
SSB lab
Psychology tests (TAT, WAT, SRT), lecturettes and interview practice, started in the first month instead of after the written result.
Outdoor training
Group tasks, obstacle work and games help build the officer-like qualities that the SSB looks for.
Self-study
Time set aside for self-study and revision, so that the day's classes are consolidated before the next one begins.

UPSC's NDA paper: Mathematics (300 marks) and General Ability Test (600 marks), 2½ hours each, with negative marking.

Yes. Boys and girls live in separate hostels, and a mess is run for residents. The Hostel and Mess page explains what the hostel fee covers and what to ask before you decide. You are welcome to see the hostels during counselling, before you take admission.
Can my child start NDA preparation right after Class 10?
Yes. The NDA Foundation course combines Class 11 and 12 schooling with NDA Maths, General Ability Test and SSB preparation from the start, so your child reaches the NDA exam already trained. The counsellor explains the schooling arrangement and the fee for the two years before you commit.
What is the fee for NDA coaching with hostel?
Tuition for each course, and the monthly hostel and mess charge, are published on the Fee Structure page and in the fee table on this page. Registration and a refundable hostel security are listed there too. The exact fee, GST and instalment options are confirmed at counselling.
Do you offer SSB interview training on its own?
Yes. Candidates who already hold an SSB call letter can join a short SSB batch that follows the five-day board procedure: screening, psychology tests, group tasks, personal interview and conference. Batches are available with or without hostel.
Is Dehradun safe for girls staying in a hostel?
Girls live in a separate hostel. Safety is the first thing we expect parents to check, so please visit before admission, see the hostel, meet the people responsible for it and ask for the rules on timings, visitors and outings in writing. Dehradun is an established education city, and many families send their daughters here to study.
Is the NDA in Dehradun?
No. The National Defence Academy is at Khadakwasla near Pune. Dehradun is home to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), where Army cadets train, and to 1 AFSB, an Air Force Selection Board. GS India prepares students in Dehradun for the NDA written examination and the SSB interview.
Do you run online classes?
No. GS India teaches in classrooms in Dehradun, because SSB preparation, fitness training and the hostel routine work best when students are present. Outstation students join us and live in the hostel.
Which course is right for my child?
It depends on the class your child is in and the service they want to join. Use the eligibility checker on this page for a first answer, then speak to a counsellor, who will confirm the entry, the batch and the likely timeline using the official notification.
Do you publish your results?
We publish a result only when the candidate has agreed and the name can be checked on an official merit list. The Results page explains the rules. Until an entry meets them, we publish nothing rather than list names that cannot be verified.
Where exactly is the academy?
Street 1, Subharti Road, Nanda Ki Chowki, Lower Kolhupani, Dehradun, Uttarakhand 248007, near Prem Nagar. The Contact page has directions from the ISBT, the railway station and Jolly Grant airport.
