Online Admission

Taking admission at GS India Defence Academy begins with a conversation, not a long form. You share a few details online, a counsellor calls you back, and the two of you decide which course, batch and hostel arrangement suits your child. This page explains each step, so that you know what to expect and what to keep ready.

Admission in five steps

  • Enquire online. Fill in the short form on this page with your child’s name, your mobile number, the course you are considering and your child’s current class or qualification.
  • Speak to a counsellor. A counsellor calls you back, asks about your child’s goal and recommends the right course and duration.
  • Visit the academy. See the classrooms, the hostel and the mess, and meet the faculty. We encourage every family to visit before paying.
  • Confirm the course, batch and fees. The counsellor confirms the tuition, hostel and mess charge, registration, GST and instalment options. Please ask for them in writing.
  • Complete admission. Complete the paperwork at the academy and pay the registration fee. Students joining the hostel pay the refundable hostel security.

What to keep ready

The counsellor confirms the exact list of documents for your course. To make the first call and visit quicker, keep these handy:

  • your child’s latest marksheet;
  • an identity document for the student and one for a parent or guardian;
  • recent photographs of the student;
  • the SSB call letter, if you are applying for the SSB batch.

Fees you will see

Fees are published on the Fee Structure page. For 2026-27, registration is a one-time ₹1,000, and the hostel security is ₹2,000, which is refundable. The monthly hostel and mess charge and the tuition for your course are on the fee page and are confirmed at counselling, along with GST and instalment options.

Choosing a course before you apply

If you are not sure which course to choose, read the Courses page, which lists every course by class and goal, or use the eligibility checker for a first answer. A counsellor will confirm the entry, using the official notification, when you speak.

Hostel and day students

Students who live in Dehradun can attend as day students. Students from other cities usually choose the hostel, where boys and girls live in separate hostels and a mess is run for residents. The Hostel and Mess page explains what to look for and what to ask.
